about us

holler queen weens is a small, ethical dachshund breeding program tucked into the hills of liberty, kentucky, where the porch light’s always on and the dogs are raised like family. founded by grace mckamey clements and her partner sam, holler queen weens blends appalachian values with a lifelong obsession for canine genetics, temperament, and conformation.

grace comes from generations of livestock breeding - her grandfather was a respected angus cattle farmer, and she herself helped run a cattle operation before turning her full attention to dogs. with a childhood shaped by farming, she grew up with a deep understanding of what it means to breed responsibly. grace has been fixated on dogs since the age of seven, memorizing breed standards, watching dog shows, and dreaming of the day she’d build her own program.

sam is the calm in the daily chaos - a quiet, intuitive presence who handles much of the hands-on care. he’s the one checking on puppies at 2 AM, organizing vet runs, and making sure every dog knows they’re loved. together, sam and grace bring a balance of grit and tenderness, science and instinct, care and commitment.

at holler queen weens, dogs are never raised in kennels or isolated runs. they live in the house, underfoot, in laps and on couches, socialized from birth and raised to thrive. each breeding is planned with intention - prioritizing health, strong genetics, classic dachshund personality, and adherence to breed standards. every puppy is handled daily, introduced to new stimuli, and set up for long-term success with their forever families.
